Women's Triathlon Wetsuits

Women's Triathlon Wetsuits

Zoot women's triathlon wetsuits use a dedicated women's cut with gender-specific panels, in sizes XS to 2XL plus a tall size. Here you can find out which model matches your swimming, which size to choose and what other swimmers often ask.

Which women's wetsuit matches your swimming?

Your body position in the water decides. If your hips and legs drop, choose more buoyancy. If you already swim flat, flexibility in the shoulders brings you more. The links below filter this page by model.

  • New to triathlon or open water: Maui. Easy to get on, with balanced buoyancy that lifts the hips.
  • Training several times a week: Kona or Bolt. Both use AQUAlift buoyancy; the Bolt is made for triathletes whose technique is still developing.
  • Ambitious age-groupers: Manta, fully coated with Yamamoto SCS neoprene and with stretch arms and shoulders.
  • Racing: Wikiwiki Aurora Float if you want extra lift, Wikiwiki Aurora Flex if you want the most freedom of movement, and the Wikiwiki 2.0 and 3.0 for race day.
  • Cold lakes and early season: Tundra, lined with thermal fleece.
  • When wetsuits are not allowed: the Wikiwiki Speedzoot and Ultra HydroX swimskins, worn over your tri suit.

Maui, Kona and Manta also come as sleeveless versions for warm-water races. For the full specifications of every model, see the triathlon wetsuit overview.

Choosing your size

Women's wetsuits are available from XS to 2XL. Every wetsuit model is also available in ST (Small Tall): the same chest measurement as S, cut longer in the body for women who are tall for their build.

  • Find your size by height and weight in the women's wetsuit size chart.
  • If S fits your chest but the suit pulls at the crotch or shoulders, ST is usually the better choice.
  • If you fall between two sizes, choose the one that fits closely at the crotch and shoulders without restricting your breathing.
  • Swimskins and buoyancy shorts come in regular sizes only. For a swimskin, choose the same size as your Zoot tri suit.

FAQ

What makes a women's wetsuit different?

Zoot builds its women's wetsuits on a women's pattern with gender-specific panels. The suit follows your shape at the chest, waist and hips, so it seals better, lets less water in and keeps you warmer. Models with a men's cut are on our page for men's triathlon wetsuits.

Is ST the right size for me?

ST is made for tall, slim swimmers. It has the chest measurement of S but a longer body. If a regular S feels short in the body, ST is the size to try.

Sleeved or sleeveless?

Sleeved wetsuits are warmer and faster in most races. Sleeveless wetsuits are easier to put on and leave your shoulders completely free, which many swimmers prefer in warm water. Maui, Kona and Manta are available in both versions.

What size swimskin do I need?

Choose the same size as your Zoot tri suit. Swimskins are cut race fit with compression, so they feel snug on land and relax in the water.
